Lida Group Delivers Container Unit Project for the Pangzhuoqu Sand and Gravel Processing Plant in Tibet

From April to June 2026, Lida Group provided a comprehensive container-based solution for office and accommodation facilities at the Pangzhuoqu sand and gravel processing plant project in Tibet.

Located in Zhamu Town, Bomi County, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region, the project site sits at an altitude of approximately 2,800 meters. Lida Group managed the entire process—from raw material production and transportation to on-site installation and final delivery—utilizing modular container units to support the auxiliary infrastructure for plateau railway construction.

Supporting Plateau Railway Construction and Establishing Project Facilities

China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group (CREC-4) undertook the construction of the Daxing Village Tunnel as part of its railway development efforts in Tibet; its local materials division established a temporary, self-operated sand and gravel processing plant to support the railway project. The project required the construction of on-site offices and accommodation facilities. Lida Group’s scope of work included the supply of flat-pack container units, corridor units, resin tile roofing, and sanitary fixtures, creating safe, comfortable, and efficient spaces for project personnel.

Customized Container Solutions to Meet Office and Accommodation Needs

The project featured a two-story, U-shaped complex comprising offices and accommodation, constructed from flat-pack container units and corridor units, complete with resin tile roofing and sanitary facilities. The layout included 73 standard flat-pack and corridor units covering an area of approximately 770 square meters, alongside a separate central control building (comprising 8 units) with increased height and length, covering approximately 180 square meters.

Construction components included the manufacturing of main structural materials, doors, and windows, as well as the supply of plumbing, electrical, and bathroom fixtures. Lida Group managed the entire lifecycle—from production and transport to installation and handover—using standardized products and customized designs to meet the diverse needs of the plateau project, including office operations, accommodation, and central control functions.

58 Days of Intensive Work on the Plateau: End-to-End Service Ensuring Delivery

With an altitude of approximately 2,800 meters, Bomi County presented significant challenges regarding altitude sickness for the construction team. To address this, Lida Group specifically assembled a team of young workers who possessed prior installation experience in Tibet. Installation crews arrived on-site on April 19 and fully withdrew by June 15, resulting in a total project duration of approximately 58 days.

Throughout the construction process, the project team coordinated material shipments and dynamically adjusted staffing levels based on site conditions and the progress of work areas. Despite the scarcity of local resources, the team utilized various channels to promptly secure the additional materials required as the project evolved. Ultimately, the project was successfully delivered to the client's satisfaction.
